Community Play Space

What You’ll Find Inside

A brightly lit playroom with wooden furniture, a round table with chairs, a toy kitchen set, a storage shelf with baskets, and a shopping cart, all on a colorful striped rug near windows with trees outside.

Our new Reggio-inspired Community Play Space is designed with purpose — where the environment itself acts as the “third teacher.” Filled with natural light and beauty, every detail encourages curiosity, collaboration, and exploration. Every play material, toy, book, and furnishing is chosen to invite curiosity, creativity and meaningful family engagement.

Families will find:

  • A welcoming space: A nurturing environment that encourages exploration and creativity.

  • Limitless play choices: Dramatic play, building, creative arts, sensory exploration, science, and more.

  • Flexible rooms: Designed for public play, workshops, playgroups, and therapeutic use.

  • Learning connections: Hundreds of toys, books, and creative materials from the Toy Library that refresh and enhance the environment regularly.

Benefits For Families

  • For children— A joyful, high-quality environment that sparks curiosity and gives children the freedom to use their imagination, creatively express themselves, build social skills, and more.

  • For parents and caregivers— Confidence knowing children are in a safe setting that encourages learning and discovery.

  • For the community— A nurturing environment that brings families together, strengthens early learning, and celebrates the power of play.

I love the Cape Cod Toy Library. As a parenting author and nanny educator, having a safe place for families to play and explore an expert-curated toy collection — and borrow toys — is invaluable. As a mom in an open adoption, having a welcoming, neutral space to meet with biological family has been an answer to prayer.

A young boy and an elderly woman are at a sensory play station with water and rocks. The boy, holding an orange object, is smiling and looking at the woman. The woman is wearing glasses and a blue shirt with white stripes and is smiling at the boy.
“Coming to the Play Space is an experience that opens my grandson’s mind. I love seeing him having the experiences, the hands-on learning. I love seeing his reaction to what he’s learning. It’s not just something to do, it’s to come to see his face light up. .

I appreciate all of it – the themed days, the assistance I get, I get ideas. Sharing the experiences together strengthens the bond between us.”
