The Cape Cod Toy Library is powered by community generosity. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we depend on the kindness of residents, businesses, and visitors to ensure that Cape children and families have access to joyful, play-based learning. Every toy donated, every dollar given, and every hour volunteered helps children discover, families connect, and our community thrive.
Sponsor a Membership for a Family
Sponsoring a family ensures that children on the Cape have access to joyful play, learning, and connection—regardless of financial barriers. Your support covers the cost of Play Memberships, Borrowing Memberships, or both, giving families consistent access to the resources they need. You can sponsor a single month, six months, or a full year, and larger gifts also help fund free community events at our new site.

Support Our New Home
Our permanent home at 1919 Main Street #6 in West Barnstable opens on December 5, 2025, giving families year-round access to Reggio-inspired play spaces, a comprehensive Toy Library collection, and professional staff dedicated to child development and play learning. Renovations are nearing completion, and we’re still raising funds for key furnishings and play-learning areas that will make this space welcoming for all families.

Volunteer Your Time & Expertise
Whether you can give an hour, a season, or more, your time matters. Volunteers help with toy cataloging, play sessions, fundraising, repairs, and events.
We also welcome new board and committee members who want to help promote our mission to meet the growing needs of children and families in the community.
Donate Toys & Books
Your gently used toys and children’s books can spark new adventures for families across the Cape. Nearly all of our 2,000+ toys have been donated by local families and businesses — keeping items out of landfills and in children’s hands. Our “Toy Doctor” volunteers even repair and refresh donations so they can be enjoyed for years to come.
